White Rose

(Toledo, OH) The gentle beauty of this small rose blossom gets overwhelmed by the white picket fence in the background. Still, I enjoy the flowers when they arrive, and the white rose has a scent different from the other colors.

Or so I tell myself.

Perhaps there is an olfactorial equivalent to the telecom audit, in which consultants with sophisticated measuring devices can determine the exact aroma profile of each flower. At any rate, my own mind is convinced there is a difference, and I suppose that is all that really matters.
