Storm Clouds Building

(Toledo, OH) The image on the left was taken at Washington and Summit Streets in Toledo in between waves of thunderstorms that ripped through the area today.

The first blast was quite intense; I was on I-75 northbound leaving Bowling Green about 2:00 pm today when the deluge hit. The rain came down so hard I considered pulling off the road.

Lightning strikes in the first storm were frequent and powerful, and the thunder shook my vehicle with considerable intensity.

We lost our currently unoccupied robins nest from under the deck roof with that one blowing through.

The nest seemed to be well built, but merely rested atop the 5x8 beam. It needed to be glued in place or tied into something in order to stay put.
