Mallard in the Mud

Mallard duck in the mud along Toledo's Tifft Creek (Toledo, OH) This Mallard duck has the right idea on a day in which the temperatures broke 90 degrees again. The cool mud on the bank of Tifft Creek is a good place to beat the heat.

Other members of the several dozen ducks that inhabit Foxglove Meadows sought out shady areas under the trees or in the foliage along the creek banks to cool off.

Given the fact that these birds are expecting their eggs to hatch any day now, I suspect that they are not in the market for Branson real estate. That, and they have a difficult time getting agents to understand what they are saying.
